When it comes to emergency services the saying “never stop training” gets thrown around a lot. But what does that actually mean? This past Monday consisted of members running a simulated TOAC (task oriented air consumption) drill. This drill provides members a controlled environment to train and assess their air consumption while completing several tasks that they need to do while in a fire. Newer members were able to pair up with highly experienced members to experience being on air during high intensity activity, an invaluable experience prior to operating on a fire scene. It was great to see our members push themselves and continue to show up and encourage each other.
